I apologize (especially to Mr. Coombs) for the rash tone of the original post and thank Gregory and Maria for their understanding.

That one may consider his [Abd-ru-shin's] words "mystical" is a direct result of just having them "play" on the imagination and intellect with no real experiencing.

This is an amazing observation and one of the most profound insights ever offered on this board. Whenever one cannot see the difference between The Grail Message and mystical writings, it is because the words of The Grail Message simply "play on" or "glide off" the intellect (the cerebrum, the frontal part of the brain) without ever penetrating into a person's spirit, the only place where real experiencing can happen. This process of how the cerebrum can literally cut off the spirit from participating in the process of evaluation is meticulously described in the chapter "The Intuitive Perception" [sign in to see URL] Once the preference is given to the intellect over the spirit, with the consequent suppression of the receptive spiritual ability, no amount of exhaustive explanations from the Light can ever reach that human spirit, because its intellect will always be much more impressed with its own arguments than with any enlightenment offered from the Light. And only painful experiences in the beyond can yet bring such a person to a state of recognition. One such experience is related in the chapter "Departed This Life!" [sign in to see URL]

For all of us, a confrontation with The Grail Message is a confrontation with ourselves, because all of us, without exception, have picked up some erroneous views along the way and made them our own. Whether this happened in childhood, through the so-called tradition or family life, or later on in our lives through our education and our behavior-patterns makes no difference. When we come face to face with The Grail Message, all of these beloved opinions and personal characteristics will need to be courageously re-evaluated in the Light of Truth. Faith, for instance, can only be "living", as Christ demanded, when it rests on the knowledge of the Laws of Creation. Belief in the distorted concepts (no matter what authority initiated the distortion), such as turning the murder of Christ into an act of redemption for mankind, is not faith, but delusion. The experiences that people with such "faith" must undergo in the beyond are graphically illustrated in the chapter "In the Land of Twilight" [sign in to see URL] This type of "faith" effectively blocks all help from the Light, because the intellect just keeps on rattling off biblical quotes in self-defence (this practice of frequent quoting of Scriptures is addressed in "Christ Said", MP3 audio, 30 min. [sign in to see URL] ).

And so it is with countless other distorted concepts that all of us have acquired: whether they concern family issues, marriage, religions, professions, spiritual vocations and so on. Nothing and no one is spared in this process of re-evaluation, because all of us, to one degree or another, have drifted away from the Light. The Grail Message reveals to us in advance the standard, by which all of us will be evaluated in the end. If we are honest with ourselves in the process of reading, we will see that none of us fair very well. But those of us, who recognize this fact and who are willing to work on ourselves in setting straight the various distortions of our characters and our concepts, are given the last chance to do so through the enlightenment received. This is hard work that requires perseverance, exertion and personal courage (meaning, the laying aside of presumptions, as [sign in to see URL] already pointed out).

No one can prove their devotion to God by tenaciously clinging to what is erroneous and distorted. Nor is it a sign of devotion, when we reject and repudiate God's true and most faithful servants (not clergymen, of course), but those servants, who stand and work directly in God's Power. They are nature-beings, whose activity lies in Nature and who are able to produce Nature by using the Radiation of God. No one, who truly wants to honor God, can afford to reject the existence of these beings by cleverly-arranged intellectual arguments. Naturally, they should never be called "gods" (nor do they wish to be), because they all serve the One True God. In this area too, the Grail Message is of such help, because through a whole series of chapters it gradually enlightens us on the indispensable activity of these nature-beings (elemental and animistic beings). Two such chapters are "The Instinct of Animals" [sign in to see URL] and "The Gods, Olympus and Valhalla" in MP3 audio (34 min.) [sign in to see URL]

Let me summarise how I understand your words: any description of the world beyond given by authors who knew nothing about Abd-ru-shin is mysticism. Examples: Ralph Waldo Emerson, Rudolf Steiner, Elena Blavatskaya, the Nazi mystics, Gurdjieff, Roerich, Castaneda, and many others. The term mysticism is inapplicable to Abd-ru-shin's writings. It should be replaced by 'knowledge of the Laws of Creation'. What is the difference? How do we know that only Adb-ru-shin knew the truth? There is no need to prove anything. Those who think that Abd-ru-shin and his followers could be mistaken have the frontal part of their brain blocked. They need mental treatment. Am I correct?

One more thing: I have a very interesting article about Tarkovsky by a Durham University professor. The title is 'Theology and Film: Within the Image'. The problem is that the article is in pdf format and I cannot post it, so I need your help.

Regards

Such remarks are beneath comment. By ridiculing what one so obviously cannot grasp, one only hurts himself.

We don't post articles suggested by other people on our website. If it is posted somewhere else on the Internet, you can provide a link for it here.
